HTC has been trying to put itself back on top in the smartphone race with the flagship One phone which was introduced last year with the One X, One S & One XL so has been a success but bot like the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S3. This year the company plans on changing that with just one phone called the HTC One.

This new packs a lot inside and out starting with a 4.7-inch Full HD LCD 1080p screen which pops out a 418ppi which makes it the best looking screen in the market. The phone will be running on Qualcomm’s new quad-core Snapdragon 600 running at 1.7GHz along with 2GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB* internal storage, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and LTE connectivity where available by carrier. The One will be running Android ‘Jelly Bean’ (4.1.2) at release with HTC Blinkfeed or Sense 5 who are familiar to the skin which is scaled down a bit from Sense 4 and is more of a widget style that’s similar to Flipboard in a way. HTC has said that the phone will be updated to 4.2 but no details when.

Two features stand out from the HTC One and that’s the camera and sound.

The camera is called the ‘HTC Ultrapixel Camera’ which is weird because its actually only 4 megapixel but what it does is absorb three times more light to enlarged the captured photo and catch even low-light areas. It does have a front-facing camera having 2.1 megapixels and can run 1080p on both front and back camera. HTC also added HDR video and a new feature called Zoe which how HTC says that you just:

Press the shutter and the HTC One automatically captures up to 20 photos and a 3-second video—a picture that’s alive. So your entire photo album becomes a living, breathing gallery”.

The company said the One series has “the best audio experience of any mobile phone” and they’re sticking with that quote. HTC BoomSound introduces dual frontal speakers with bulit-in amplifer including Beats Audio and a HDR Microphone.

The HTC One will be coming late March on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint in the US and O2, Vodafone, Three, and EE in the UK with an additional 185 around the world in black or white.

*= 64GB version is for AT&T only.
